Set the boundary before playing
Decide how long the visit will last before opening a game. Use an alarm or another clear stopping point, and keep normal responsibilities ahead of play.
- Choose a short session length and take regular breaks.
- Do not use social play to avoid stress, low mood, conflict or money concerns.
- Remember that Play Credits have no monetary value.
- Leave after the planned session even when you want “one more” round.
Notice changes early
Pause if you hide how much time you spend playing, become restless when you stop, neglect work or relationships, or repeatedly try to recover virtual losses. Free entertainment can still become unhealthy when it starts controlling attention or time.
Take a meaningful pause
Close the game, move away from the screen and choose an activity that changes your surroundings. A walk, conversation, meal or practical task creates a clearer break than simply switching to another game.
